If you searched the online moniker ‘Nipsman’, there is a good chance you are going to find two things: 1) Over $400,000 dollars in tournament winnings and; 2) that it all belongs to a 20 year old kid who is probably better than you.
Hayden ‘Nipsman’ Fortini got his start in poker by playing in local Florida card rooms like the Isle of Pompano and Club 52 in Melbourne. His rise began in the $2-$5 NL game where he parlayed an initial $100 buy-in into $500 and quickly flipped that into roughly $8,000 online. However, because of his then lack of proper bankroll management, Fortini shipped it all back but vowed to never let it happen again. Thus, began the rise of one the brightest up and coming young poker players in the game today.
As featured in Cardplayer Magazine, Fortini’s online resume includes five final tables in the $100 and $200 PokerStars rebuy events and a win in the weekly PokerStars 1k Super Tuesday event good for $59,000. With several other final table appearances under his belt, Fortini’s success doesn’t just stop there. In 2009, the Isle of Pompano hosted the 1st annual ‘Battles at the Beach’ poker series which consisted of three tournaments. In just 4 days, Fortini won two of the three events and over $100,000, thus achieving a feat never before seen on the Florida poker circuit.
However, what makes Fortini so impressive is his knowledge of the game and his willingness to teach others from his own experiences. As a past DeepStacks University poker camp student, Fortini understands the value of investing in your future as a poker player. He has grasped the importance of professional poker training which can be seen in not only his stats but in the way he carries himself at the table.
DeepStacks University is proud to announce the addition of Hayden ‘Nipsman’ Fortini to Team DeepStacks. The future is bright for this up and coming superstar.
